Cordelia Richman

Project Manager/Trustee
“Jetty Lane is life-enhancing: the people involved, the place and the project all give so much. I’ve been the Project Manager for Jetty Lane since early 2017, it’s an intense role but I’m privileged to be contributing to such a worthwhile charity. I moved to Woodbridge after living in London - I had managed rehabs for homeless people and then volunteered for 12 years as the Chair of a high-performing Citizens Advice service. Now enjoying being closer to nature and feeling part of this community.”

Sue Gray

Trustee
”I have 30 years’ experience at senior level in business, health and social care – with expertise in all aspects of developing and maintaining a successful organisation. As a Director at Suffolk Mind I was involved in the creation of Quay Place, Heritage and Wellbeing Centre, helping to raise the £5 million-pound needed for the project. As a Woodbridge resident I’m drawn to the intergenerational concept behind Jetty Lane. I’m passionate about practical and effective ways to build wellbeing into our community culture and activities. I see Jetty Lane as a really important way to do that in Woodbridge. Jetty Lane will be a place where people can get their essential human needs met and create a life that works for them.”

Caroline Rutherford

Chair
”I am delighted to be director of Jetty Lane representing Just42. Just42 needs a new base for the charity to operate from so that we can continue the valuable work we’re doing – we currently work with about 2000 children and young people each year. It is exciting to be part of this project, to work collaboratively with others in the community to leave a lasting impact on not only children and young people but also the wider community of Woodbridge.”

Carl Stickley

Trustee
”With a background in TV and Marketing, I hope to spread the word about Jetty Lane and what it has to offer. Helping to create ideas for crowd funding and the promotion of Jetty Lane is an exciting challenge. As a local father of two I'm solidly behind the project and what it can bring to the community, now and into the future.”

Debbie Alexander

Treasurer / Trustee
As a director of Rubbish Walks CIC and experienced bookkeeper, I am thrilled to offer my 30+ years of experience and expertise to support the fabulous work of Jetty Lane. I share their passion for building strong supportive communities and look forward to the adventures ahead.

Scott Mortimer

Architect
''I have lived in Woodbridge since 1996 with 25 years practising as an architect both in the wider UK & abroad. Eight years ago I formed my company Scott Mortimer Architecture based here in Woodbridge. I have an international outlook on design which stems from my love of exploring cities and always looking out for inspiration and ideas. My own project experience covers most industry sectors notably Sport & Leisure, Hospitality, Education & Residential. Using my skills, creativity and wealth of experience I enjoy the process of taking on the new and unique challenges that each project brings. I am a People Person and place value on creating and sustaining good relationships both within and beyond the limits of each project. Jetty Lane has all the ingredients to be a great success. There's a strong team-working ethic led by a visionary client group. They are seeking the very best for the community Jetty Lane will serve.”

Sad news

Caroline Page, Woodbridge County Councillor and Jetty Lane's first Chair of Trustees, died 5th July 2023.

We will always be grateful for Caroline's immediate and decisive response when Woodbridge Youth Centre was bulldozed in 2016. Concerned for all the displaced community groups and the many, many people who used the centre, she called a series of public meetings and insisted that the site must be saved for the benefit of the community. Jetty Lane was born out of these meetings and we have gone on to secure a 125 year lease on the land. Without Caroline, there could now be retirement flats on the site.

Caroline will always be remembered as our founding Chair, and we are more determined than ever to get Jetty Lane built to ensure that she leaves a lasting legacy for Woodbridge young people.
